Pioneer Day!

Ok, Now this is new to me. Utah has a day...an actual holiday called Pioneer Day. People take it off any everything.
Daddy was out of town but came home that afternoon. We picked him up from the airport and went up to Heber and Deer Creek for the evenings festivities. (Fire works over the lake and music in the park)

Here is Max and Keira dancing the night away!!

Wet and Wild

Mommy wanted to spend the day with Max so I took the day off.
We had a mommy and me day!
In the morning we took a nice walk and went to the park. After a nap and lunch we met cousin Keira at the Gateway mall.
We were going to go to the book store and have dinner and ice cream.
We still did all those things but added an hour in the mall fountain.
I had no plans on letting this happen so I was completely unprepared.

I never thought in a million years I would let Max do this but he had so much fun!!
The water feature was made for kids...I had no other clothes so we had to pop into Old Navy for a wardrobe change LOL!

Swimming Pool

It's summer time and the livin' is easy..Max could swim for days if you let him..he is a crazy child in the water.
His favorite part, underwater!!
The kid couldnt get enough of putting his face below the surface.
I think its time for swim lessons so he can learn to respect the water.
Max and his new little friend Rowan.

Mountains

It was a nice day outside and we decided to up for a walk in the mountains. Max was so excited..he talked about it all morning.
On our way up we stopped at one of the many hiking trails posted and took an afternoon stroll.
We are planning on camping up here next month with friends.
I had never seen what an avalanche could do so that is my first picture...

Such a great afternoon spent as a family :)

Wilson 1st Summer BBQ

I love parties so we decided to start a tradition and host a summer gathering each year. This was year 1.
Theme: After the 4th...Wilson First Annual 5th of July BBQ.
(I already have next years theme picked out)...cant wait :)

Max and Keira had a blast playing together as always....

Later that evening Max's cousins (Kylie, Riley and Abbey) came over to join the festivities...

We bought a few small fire works (pictures not posted) they look stupid on film...but the kids loved it. They had a blast watching the small bursts.

max got to have his first sparkler...now I know what you might be thinking ..he's only 2 but Jared was right there making sure nothing would go array.

We finished the night off with massive pieces of watermelon. Max drowned himself in the sweet wet stuff.

Happy Fourth....I mean 5th of July!!!...see you next year.

Fourth of July...Oh say can you see...

We took him to his first fire work display at Thanksgiving point...Max waited and waited for the fireworks to begin.

Once the first POP went off Max could hardly contain himself.
He yelled POP POP POP at each firework blast and held his excited hand to his mouth screaming "OH MY GOODNESS"! "Do you see it..LOOK..POP!

However just before the grand finale Max put his head down and asked to go home to bed...he was tired and announced that he was bored of the POPs.

Our Backyard...(almost finished)

We still need plants and trees, we will also be building a fire pit and sitting area. Not until next year however..so stay tuned:)...
