Our first week

As we complete our first week at home, I can hardly believe it. This time last week I was having a baby! And now I have two beautiful little boys.

So far things have been going well. Sleep is not even something that exists right now. I think I get about 4-5 hours per night night and about 1-2 hour nap in the afternoon. Now that doesn't sound so bad for most people but if you know me I need at least 8-9 hours at night with a nap.
Everyone loves baby feet and toes!

Jack is on a sleep during the day and not at night schedule...we are working on getting him turned around or we will just have to move to England.

Max is doing so well. He is a great big brother. You would think Jack had been around forever.
The first thing Max has to do in the morning is see Jack. If Jack cries Max is concerned and wants to know what to do to help. I couldn't have asked for a better transition.

We haven't left the house yet but I am planning on a walk this afternoon. The weather is nice and I could use some fresh air and a little exercise.
Jack and Max had some professional pictures taken as well this week by a co-worker of mine.
She has a talent for photography and I have seen a couple of samples of the boys and cant wait to share the pictures.
I have also started working on Jack's announcements. I really want to design these...put that school certification to the test LOL!

Jackson Alexander Wilson

Jackson Alexander Wilson
Thursday 04.23.2009
12.43 pm
9 pounds 4 ounces
20 1/2 inches

The last 32 hours....
2.30 am Thursday morning..I woke as usual for a bathroom run to discover a little more was going on. Jared suggested we get things together and head to his parents house (since its a lot closer to the hospital) and get Max settled there.
5.00 am we arrive at the hospital and get settled.
I was supposed to be induced that day anyway but wound up not needing it. I was already to go on my own.
by 8.00 am I was having regular contraction and needed an epidural.
9.00am..feeling much better :) LOL! (however I have to say epidurals are so painful to get)
My doctor was in surgeries all morning... C-sections (she had one emergency after another) so as my worst fear unfolded..I didnt get to see my doctor once again :( But at least this time it was for a good reason. So I ended up with her partner. (this is why I do not believe in birth plans..nothing ever goes the way you think it should)
12.43 pm Baby Jack was born (3 pushes thats all) It was a little too easy!
12.45pm Jack is doing well...there is a lot of chatter between the nurse and my doctor
12.50pm (5 nurses enter) and start hustling around...Jared is with Jack and I am hearing a lot about me.
Over the next 30 min I am being hovered over and spoken to very calmly. (I am in tears, full of fear) Because Jack was so big my uterus didn't want to contract and I ended up losing a lot of blood...too much. After tons of medications and shots/ a very calm doctor who worked quickly I was finally in good standing and now in recovery.
4.30 pm I finally got to see my baby boy! Not what I planned... but at least we are all together (happy and healthy)
Now for the funny part...1.30am Lost my crown on one tooth. (Are you kidding me!!!) Now I am tired, half my blood in my body is gone and I cant eat or drink. I need a dentist ASAP!
We left the hospital Friday at 4.00pm to head to a dentist...and finally made it home at 6.00pm!
We are now home and safe and completing our first 24 hours...WOW that was a whirl wind..time has gone by so fast already...I am kind of sad. It all seems like a dream...

Ponds

Max and Keira love to SPLASH....(TKP gardens...Secret Garden)

Quick Trip to the Zoo

We took a trip to the zoo last Sunday with the Penrods. Jared and I were hoping it would induce labor with all the walking...it just made me tired instead :)
But Max had a blast...he loves all the animals.

Look how big I am compared to a gorilla.....

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone!
We started on Saturday..coloring eggs. This was Max's first time and he loved dropping them in the glasses..even though some did crack from his over enthusiasm!
But thats part of all the fun.

The next morning Max woke up to the sounds of a bunny in our kitchen..who also left the back door open.

His basket included a new watch (which he is so proud of), Horton hears a who, a book, and of course chocolate.

Easter Breakfast...Menu: Scones, Jam and whipped cream.

Once the weather warmed up a bit we went outside to find all the eggs the bunny left.
Max thought he could balance some on his head.

Mommy made an Easter cake....

And Max chowed down on a chocolate bunny.
We always go for the ears first :)

After our little family egg hunt we headed over to Mama and papa's house for Easter dinner and more egg hunting with the cousins.

Bubbles

What kid doesnt love bubbles.
If you have ever seen the movie Knocked up I think its best said
"I wish anything could make me as happy as bubbles make kids happy"

Let's Fly a Kite

It was a windy day in UT and we had bought Max a kite.
So what better time to try it out.

Daddy crashed landed the kite on a dirt hill, our neighbors roof (that one took awhile to get back down)...
Lesson- Only fly kites in an open field or park and not in your back yard :)

It's been awhile

Sorry for not posting anything in 3 weeks. I have lost my camera cables...duh!
I think I have out smarted myself and placed them in my hospital go bag...will have to do a search and rescue mission tonight. I have tons of pictures to post.
Anyways...I have an official day for little Jack's (maybe Alex) birthday....next Thursday the 23rd.
I will be at Saint Marks in SLC. Very exciting knowing there is an end!!

Keep posted....I will send an update out over the next two days. If I make it to my due date and induction date I will be posting pictures of the Tulip Festival. I love that event!! I hope I can make it this year.
