Dancing the Night Away

We went to a concert on the green with Patrick, Shannon and our fave. cousins Keagan and Keira.
Jack snoozed on uncle Patrick.

Max and Keira had a ball. Just like always. Those two love being together.

And of course Max got down to the music.

Jacks First Bath

Rub a Dub Dub...A little Jack is in his tub...
Jack had his first real bath..no more sponge baths for him.
He really liked it. The warm water was soothing. I am looking forward to having both boys sharing tub time...but then again I don't want time to fly!

I love Summer

I live for this weather and since I live in UT I live for this time of year!
Warm, sunny and around 80 degrees. Ahhwww! A sigh of perfect relief.
I think I could be very happy wearing tank tops, sun dresses and sandals everyday.
So because it was such a nice day Jack and mommy went to the gardens for a stroll (and some exercise).

I did not realize how many different paths the gardens have.
Summer dreaming and a little cloud gazing...

The First Month

It seems like yesterday when I was writing about the first week home with baby Jack and now we round out the first month.

Jack will be 4 weeks old on May 21st and officially one month on the 23rd.

My little guy is already growing so fast, it is sad. I am not sure if I am ready to leave him and go back to work...even though I don't go back for 3 weeks and even then its from home until he is 12 weeks old.
I didn't think my days would go so fast. But then again I am a task oriented kind of person and have lists all over my desk of things to do. I should add TAKE A NAP somewhere on there.

So what is Jack up to:
He can lift and turn his head when on his tummy. I try to give him plenty of tummy time. I am paranoid of flat head.
He coos a little and makes lots of squeaky noises
We are still not sure what color his eyes will be. They currently look hazel.
So who do you think he looks like? We can't decide this time.
Having Jack has been great, I am looking forward to seeing what kind of person he will turn out to be. Will he be like Max, or mommy, daddy??? hopefully he will just be him...Jack. I just don't want him to grow up too quickly, I love the baby phase. No sleep and all.

Mothers Day

Ok, So I know mothers day was a week ago and my posting is a bit late but I had to gush over my big day.
Max went out with daddy to pick up my mothers day card and he insisted on getting one that played music. Those cards are awesome, I have to admit I love getting them too.
But the card Max picked out was a graduation card. Nothing else would do. He had to get it for me. (which I loved)...Then his present to me was "Toy Story" the movie. Well it would have been his gift if they could have found it. Max's reasoning....I want to get mommy Toy Story so she can give it to me.
Oh boy...I think we have created a monster and his new sibling couldn't have come at a better time. LOL!
So now I am on the hunt for Toy Story (Birthday).
Anyway...Instead I got Wii Fit. LOVE IT!
It really is a lot of fun and if you dont have it you should get it.
Max enjoys it just as much as Jared and I do. He is really good at it. Go figure..kids.
That was my mommy's day! Simple, fun and just awesome to be able to have such a great family...I have a family (sometimes I just cant believe it)!

Next up...Fathers Day! What will Max cook up for daddy?

I Love the Gardens

For Sammys last day we went to the Thanksgiving Point Gardens. I love it there and am so glad I got a pass.
We must have picked the most perfect day to go...a bit chilly but the tulips were at there peek.
Very pretty!

Max wanted to go exploring throughout the gardens...taking all the hidden and unbeaten paths.

We stumbled on some baby geese.

I love my family and Max is such a special little guy!

I have to agree with Susan..the Secret Garden is my favorite too...it is just so quiet and peaceful.
A great place to read, reflect, and just soak up some sun. Just stay away from the fountain...you might get wet. LOL!!
We were so glad to have Sam come visit us. I loved having her help for the week and wish I could keep her :) I know Jack loved the cuddles he got and Max just adores his Aunt.

We haven't had a picture of all four of us yet...Thank you for taking this one!

Down Town

It was a very nice day (70+ degrees) outside so we decided to go to the Gateway mall for lunch and to take a walk around the gardens of the LDS temple.

Max was thrilled to ride the train.

The grounds of the LDS Temple were nice...Max wanted to go inside "mommy I want to go inside the city" he said. I never know what to say...It's hard to explain (and there is no easy way of saying) that we couldn't go in because we were not welcome/ worthy/ whatever. Max was disappointed....his head hung low.

They had some very pretty flowers planted around the buildings...perfect for some pictures.

The Farm

Max, mommy, Jack and Sammy went to the Farm on Monday.

We had lunch in the park and watched the geese make their way to our picnic table.

Jack took a snooze through the whole thing.

The Farm had neon baby ducks....
and all kinds of baby animals.

Sammy helped Max feed a horse.
