I had to share this little story even though there are no pictures to go along with it.
I signed Max up for a Super Siblings class last Monday.
The goal was to give him an idea of what was going to happen and how to help when the baby comes. It went over things like holding the baby, feeding, diapers, toys etc...then finished with a tour of the hospital room I would be staying in and the nursery.
Max of course was the youngest in the class by a couple of years but Jared and I feel that it has been really important to keep him in the loop every step of the way. No Surprises!
After class I told Max he had a special prize waiting for him at home....a baby doll that he could play with while mommy and daddy do what they need to with the real thing.
Max's reaction was classic:
I went upstairs to collect the doll and Max asked if he was getting a truck or something...
he took one look at the doll, then looked at me with the best facial expression "What the @$*& is this" He then proceeded to have the doll kick his cars and then threw it in the baby swing saying "this doll is stupid"!
I guess you really cant take the boy out of boys :)

First Day of Golf!!
The weather is starting to look up...thank GOD!! So as the snow melts away my golf crazed little boy wanted daddy to take him out to the golf course so he could use his new lefty clubs.
Max has non stopped talked about going golfing for months.
Our living room has become a mini golf course.
Daddy took Max to as Max likes to call it "His work on his golf course".
Oh yeah...the weather is 50 degrees.
So is this a picture of a future Golf Pro...I think he is ready for his tour debut
Working on his swing...
Who better to teach Max than his very on golf pro daddy...

Happy Valentines Day!
I was in quite the mood this morning and had to stop, take a breath and start over.
Daddy was nice enough to pop out to the store and grab some sweet treats for breakfast.
Max got a special something from cupid..a little book called Snuggle Puppy from mine and Jareds favorite author Sandra Boyton. She has such great children's books. (easy, fun reads)
Granddad and Nonna sent Max a very special surprise and mama and papa send their v-day love.
I thought I would make some treats and tried my hand at layered jello.
My intentions were good. I bought cherry, grape and strawberry...the basic v-day colors but forgot that they are so close in color you cant see the layers :( next time i will remember to dilute them with yogurt and clear jello so there is a contrast...whoops (I guess you live and learn).
However my red-velvet cupcakes turned out nice. I made some with white icing and some with chocolate. Topped them off with red peep hearts.
Jared completed the evening with a wonderful meal of king crab legs, scallops and steak.

Max has a new favorite food...crab! He ate most of mommys dinner :)
Hint hint...we could very easily be sea side people..LOL! Awwww that would be the life!
It was a nice day. Quiet and understated.
